The screen shall be of 304 ANSI stainless steel bridge slotted screens furnished threaded and coupled to the same standard as the casing. The Contractor shall provide for the Engineer’s approval details of the physical and mechanical characteristics of the screens as well as mill certificate(s).  Screens may be bridge slotted, louver form or wire wound on perforated pipe. Screen openings shall be 1.0 mm opening in sandstone aquifers and 1.5 mm in the fissured volcanic with a minimum open area of 10%.  Fittings are to be of the same material as the screen. The exact location of screen joints will be directed by the Engineer on the basis of the nature of the cuttings and the electrical logging results.  The collapse and tensile strengths of the screen and casings shall be commensurate with their location.
